Radar resolution
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-008275
The ability of a radar system to distinguish between two closely spaced targets in terms of range, azimuth, or elevation. Higher resolution allows for more detailed imaging of meteorological phenomena, such as individual storm cells or fine-scale precipitation structures. Resolution is influenced by factors like pulse length, beamwidth, and signal processing techniques.
