Regeneration of a depression
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-008482
The process by which a weakening or dissipating atmospheric low-pressure system intensifies again. This re-intensification often occurs when the depression encounters a favorable environment, such as a strong upper-level trough or a region of enhanced baroclinicity. The regenerated depression can then produce renewed precipitation and strong winds.
