A low-pressure system characterized by isobars that form a V-shape, pointing towards the direction of movement. This configuration indicates a trough of low pressure, often associated with a cold front or an occluded front. Such depressions frequently bring unsettled weather, including cloudiness and precipitation, as they pass.
