Scotch mist

A fine, persistent drizzle or light rain, often accompanied by fog or low cloud, that is characteristic of the weather in Scotland. This type of precipitation results in damp conditions without heavy downpours. It is a common weather phenomenon in mountainous and coastal regions with high humidity.
