Search space
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-008723
The set of all possible solutions or parameter combinations that an algorithm explores to find an optimal result within a meteorological model. In numerical weather prediction, this applies to data assimilation systems that search for the initial atmospheric state that best fits the available observations. The dimensions of this space are defined by the number of variables and their potential range of values being adjusted in the model.
