Seepage spring
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-008771
A type of spring where groundwater slowly emerges from the ground over a diffuse area, rather than from a distinct opening. This occurs when the water table intersects the land surface on a gentle slope, allowing water to seep out gradually. Seepage springs often contribute to the baseflow of streams and rivers.
