Slice method
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-008936
A technique used in numerical weather prediction and atmospheric modeling to analyze and diagnose atmospheric processes by examining a two-dimensional cross-section of the atmosphere. This method allows for the visualization of vertical and horizontal variations of meteorological variables along a specific transect. It is often applied to study fronts, jet streams, and other mesoscale phenomena.
