Slope windstorm

A localized, strong wind event that occurs on the lee side of mountain ranges, often characterized by high wind speeds and turbulent conditions. These storms develop when stable air flows over a mountain barrier, leading to the formation of a hydraulic jump or mountain wave. The downslope winds can cause considerable damage to infrastructure and vegetation.
