Snowpack yield

Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-009005

The amount of water released from a melting snowpack over a given period, often expressed as a volume or depth of water. This value represents the contribution of snowmelt to streamflow and groundwater recharge. It is determined by factors such as snow water equivalent, temperature, and solar radiation, and is a key input for hydrological forecasting.
