Sun cross

A rare atmospheric optical phenomenon consisting of a bright cross-shaped halo centered on the sun, formed by the reflection and refraction of sunlight by ice crystals in the atmosphere. It is a complex halo display that requires specific crystal orientations. This phenomenon is often associated with other halo types like parhelia.
