Anthelion

A rare halo phenomenon appearing as a bright, white spot directly opposite the sun in the sky, at the same elevation. It is formed by sunlight reflecting and refracting through plate-shaped ice crystals in the atmosphere. The anthelion is often seen in conjunction with other complex halo displays.
A luminous white spot that appears on the parhelic circle at the same altitude as the sun and 180 degrees from it in azimuth.
