Sunshine

The direct radiant energy received from the sun, specifically referring to the period when the sun's disk is not obscured by clouds or other atmospheric phenomena. It is a measure of the duration of direct solar radiation reaching the Earth's surface. Sunshine duration is measured in hours and minutes per day or year, often recorded by a Campbell-Stokes recorder or pyrheliometer.
