Bright sunshine

Direct solar radiation intense enough to cast a distinct shadow, as measured by a sunshine recorder. This measurement excludes periods when the sun is obscured by clouds or haze, or when its intensity is too low, such as near sunrise or sunset. It is a meteorological parameter used to quantify the duration of direct solar illumination at a given location.
