Percentage of possible sunshine

The ratio of the actual duration of sunshine at a given location to the maximum possible duration of sunshine for that same period, expressed as a percentage. This metric indicates the amount of time the sun is not obscured by clouds or other atmospheric phenomena. It is a climatological indicator of cloudiness and solar radiation availability.
