Twilight correction
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-009853
An adjustment applied to atmospheric radiation measurements taken during twilight hours, when the sun is near the horizon. This correction accounts for the increased path length of sunlight through the atmosphere and the resulting scattering and absorption effects. It is particularly relevant for accurate measurements of solar radiation and atmospheric optical properties.
