Time-dependent flow

Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-009683

A fluid motion where the velocity, pressure, and other flow properties at any given point in space change with time. This type of flow characterizes most atmospheric and oceanic phenomena, such as turbulent eddies, propagating waves, and evolving weather systems. It contrasts with steady-state flow, where conditions remain constant over time.
