Tropical maritime air

An air mass that forms over warm ocean waters in tropical or subtropical regions, characterized by high temperatures and high humidity. These air masses are often unstable, leading to convective activity and heavy precipitation when lifted. They are a primary source of moisture for many weather systems in temperate zones.
