Maritime air

An air mass that originates over an ocean or large body of water, characterized by high humidity and moderate temperatures. Depending on its source region, it can be either maritime tropical (warm and moist) or maritime polar (cool and moist). Maritime air masses significantly influence the weather of coastal regions.
