Unimodal spectrum

Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-009886

A frequency distribution or spectrum that exhibits a single peak or mode, indicating a dominant size or energy range within a given population. In atmospheric science, this can describe the size distribution of aerosols or cloud droplets, where most particles fall within a narrow range. A unimodal spectrum contrasts with bimodal or multimodal distributions, which have multiple peaks.
