Water vapor

The gaseous phase of water, invisible to the human eye and present in the atmosphere. It is produced by evaporation from liquid water sources and transpiration from plants. The concentration of water vapor is highly variable, ranging from nearly 0% in cold, dry polar regions to over 4% by volume in the humid tropics.
