Water vapor feedback
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-010122
A climate feedback mechanism where an initial warming of the atmosphere leads to an increase in atmospheric water vapor, which is a potent greenhouse gas. This additional water vapor further enhances the warming, creating a positive feedback loop. It is considered one of the strongest positive feedbacks in the Earth's climate system.
