Feedback
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-005552
A process where the output of a system is returned as input, influencing its future behavior. In atmospheric science, positive feedback amplifies an initial change, while negative feedback dampens it. An example is the ice-albedo feedback, where melting ice reduces reflectivity, leading to further warming and more melting.
