Feedback
Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-002212
The process of returning a portion of the output signal of a system back to its input, either to stabilize its operation or to modify its characteristics. Positive feedback amplifies the input signal, potentially leading to oscillation, while negative feedback reduces distortion and improves stability. Control systems frequently employ negative feedback to maintain a desired output.
