Tickler coil
Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-006001
A small inductive coil used in regenerative radio receivers to provide positive feedback from the detector stage to the resonant circuit. This feedback increases the Q-factor of the tuned circuit, enhancing sensitivity and selectivity. The tickler coil is typically coupled magnetically to the main tuning coil.
