Wave modeling
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-010151
The use of mathematical and computational techniques to simulate the behavior and evolution of waves in a fluid medium. These models incorporate physical processes such as wave generation, propagation, dissipation, and interaction with currents or topography. Wave models are used for forecasting ocean waves and understanding atmospheric wave dynamics.
