Wave recorder

An instrument designed to measure and record characteristics of ocean waves, such as height, period, and direction. These devices can be deployed as buoys, bottom-mounted sensors, or shore-based radar systems. Data collected by wave recorders are used for meteorological forecasting, coastal engineering, and climate research, providing real-time and historical wave climate information.
