Wave system
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-010840
An organized pattern of atmospheric waves, such as Rossby waves or Kelvin waves, that collectively influence weather and climate. These systems involve interactions between different wave types and the mean flow of the atmosphere. They can persist for days to weeks, dictating the movement of high and low-pressure centers.
