Wind turbine

A mechanical apparatus designed to capture the kinetic energy present in moving air and convert it into a usable form, typically electricity. These devices feature large blades that rotate when exposed to wind, driving a generator. Modern utility-scale wind turbines can have rotor diameters exceeding 150 meters and generate several megawatts of power.
