Zigzag lightning

A common visual characteristic of cloud-to-ground lightning, where the discharge channel appears to follow an irregular, angular path. This appearance is due to the lightning channel navigating through regions of varying electrical resistance in the atmosphere. It is a typical form of a lightning flash.
