Absolute permeability
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-000008
A measure of the ability of a porous medium to transmit a single fluid when the medium is 100% saturated with that fluid. It is an intrinsic property of the rock, independent of the fluid type. Absolute permeability is typically measured in darcies or millidarcies and is a fundamental parameter in reservoir engineering.
