A finite set of well-defined, unambiguous instructions or rules for solving a problem or performing a computation. Algorithms are the foundation of all computer programs and machine learning models, dictating how data is processed and decisions are made. In oil and gas, algorithms are used for seismic data interpretation, reservoir simulation, and predictive maintenance.
