Gridding algorithm
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-001754
A computational procedure used to create a grid or mesh that discretizes a continuous geological domain into a set of interconnected cells. These algorithms determine the size, shape, and connectivity of the grid cells based on input data and desired resolution. Common algorithms generate Cartesian, curvilinear, or unstructured grids for reservoir simulation.
