Numerical model
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-002577
A computational representation of a physical system, such as a petroleum reservoir, that uses mathematical equations and algorithms to simulate its behavior. It discretizes the reservoir into a grid of cells, each with defined properties, to predict fluid flow and pressure changes over time. These models are built using software that solves partial differential equations.
