Collapse pressure
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-000746
The external pressure differential that causes a tubular component, such as casing or tubing, to deform inward and fail. This pressure can result from hydrostatic forces in the annulus or from changes in fluid density. It is a key design parameter for wellbore tubulars, with values determined by pipe grade, wall thickness, and diameter.
