Inside diameter
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-002001
The measurement of the open, hollow space within a tubular good such as drill pipe, casing, or tubing. This dimension dictates the flow capacity of the pipe and limits the size of any tools or equipment that can be run through it. The inside diameter (ID) is derived by subtracting twice the wall thickness from the pipe's specified outside diameter.
