Production tubing

The string of pipe through which hydrocarbons flow from the reservoir to the surface. It is run inside the production casing and is designed to withstand the pressures, temperatures, and corrosive nature of the produced fluids. Tubing sizes vary depending on desired production rates and well conditions, commonly ranging from 2-3/8 inches to 4-1/2 inches in diameter.
