Recovery factor

The fraction of the total oil or gas initially in a reservoir that is ultimately produced. It represents the efficiency of the production process, including primary, secondary, and tertiary recovery methods. Recovery factors vary widely depending on reservoir characteristics and the applied recovery techniques, typically ranging from 10% to over 60% for oil reservoirs.
