Wall loss

The reduction in the thickness of the casing or tubing wall due to corrosion, erosion, or mechanical wear within a wellbore. This condition can compromise the structural integrity of the tubulars and lead to leaks or failures. Wall loss is typically detected and quantified using caliper logs or ultrasonic imaging tools.
