Come out of the hole

To withdraw the drill string from the wellbore, an operation also known as tripping out. This procedure is necessary to replace a worn drill bit, run casing, conduct wireline logging, or address downhole problems. Crew members systematically disconnect sections of drill pipe, usually in three-joint stands, and stack them vertically inside the derrick, a process reversed when going in the hole.
