Critical gas flow rate
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-000888
The minimum velocity at which gas must flow in a wellbore to continuously remove produced liquids, preventing liquid accumulation and potential well loading. Below this rate, liquids can fall back down the tubing, increasing hydrostatic pressure and reducing gas production. This rate is a key parameter for managing gas well performance and preventing premature decline.
