Domainal fabric
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-001141
A rock fabric or spatial structure made up of several domains superimposed on one another, usually differing in size or wavelength, so that organisation appears at more than one scale. Each domain contributes its own pattern of texture or variability, and the combined fabric is the sum of these overlapping components. Two domains of different wavelength, for example, overlap in the same volume instead of occupying separate zones.
