Space frequency domain
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-003525
A mathematical domain used in seismic data processing where data are represented by spatial coordinates (e.g., offset or midpoint) and frequency. This domain is obtained by applying a Fourier transform to the time axis of seismic records. Operations in the space-frequency domain are often used for noise attenuation, velocity filtering, and migration.
