FT
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-001591
A mathematical operation that decomposes a function of time into its constituent frequencies, or vice versa. In geophysics, it is widely used to transform seismic data from the time domain to the frequency domain for analysis and processing. The Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) is an efficient algorithm for computing this transformation.
