Frequency domain
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-001584
A representation of a seismic signal as a function of frequency, rather than time. This transformation allows for the analysis of different frequency components within the seismic data, which can reveal subsurface properties. The Fourier transform is the mathematical tool used to convert signals between the time domain and the frequency domain.
