External pulling tool

A wireline or coiled tubing tool designed to retrieve downhole equipment by engaging an external fishing neck or profile on the lost item. This tool latches onto the outside of the fish, allowing it to be pulled to the surface. External pulling tools are used when internal engagement is not possible or practical.
