External cutter

A downhole tool used to cut tubing or casing from the outside diameter. It is run into the wellbore and activated to sever the pipe at a desired depth, typically during fishing operations to retrieve a stuck string. This tool is designed for situations where an internal cutter cannot be used or is less effective.
