Final shut-in period
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-001418
The last of several shut-in periods during a drillstem test (DST), conducted after the final flow period. This pressure buildup phase is designed to be the longest shut-in, allowing the reservoir pressure to approach its initial static value. Analysis of the pressure buildup data from this period provides the most reliable estimates of average reservoir pressure, permeability, and skin factor.
