Shut-in bottomhole pressure
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-003389
The pressure measured at the bottom of a wellbore after the well has been closed off at the surface for a period, allowing the pressure to stabilize. This measurement provides data on reservoir pressure, fluid contacts, and reservoir characteristics. It is a key parameter for reservoir engineering calculations and production forecasting.
