BHST
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-000328
The bottomhole static temperature, which is the temperature of the formation at the bottom of the wellbore when the well is shut in and fluids are not circulating. This temperature represents the undisturbed geothermal gradient at that depth. BHST is used in reservoir engineering calculations and for designing downhole equipment that must withstand specific thermal conditions.
