Static fluid level
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-003593
The depth of the fluid surface in a wellbore when the well is shut in and no fluid is being produced or injected. This level represents the hydrostatic pressure exerted by the fluid column at a given depth. It is a key parameter for calculating reservoir pressure and evaluating well performance.
